Winter triticale

Wheatgrass (Triticum x secale) is a hybrid plant of the Poaceae family. 19th century obtained by selective fusion of wheat and rye chromosomes. Wheatgrass adapts well to soil and agroclimatic conditions, has valuable biochemical and economic properties, retains the best characteristics of its parent forms: fruitful, winters better, does not go dormant, resistant to diseases, droughts, grows in acidic soils.
