Since 2003 At the "Dotnuva Baltic" seed factory in Dotnuva, which belongs to the "Linas Agro" group of companies, seeds of various types and varieties of agricultural plants are prepared. Seeds are sold by "Linas Agro", the main seed markets are Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia. The quality of the certified seeds of the "Dotnuva Seeds" brand meets the requirements of foreign customers. About 20 percent seeds prepared in the seed factory are exported and sold in other EU countries.

Since 2003 At the "Dotnuva Seeds" seed factory in Dotnuva, which belongs to the "Linas Agro" group of companies, seeds of various types and varieties of agricultural plants are prepared. Dotnuva Seeds pays great attention to the selection of new varieties. It is essential that new varieties are tested under local conditions. In order to select some of the most promising new varieties from the multitude of breeders and further study them on farmers' farms, we conduct variety comparison trials. In the tests, plant observations are carried out during the growing season, and various parameters are evaluated (winter hardiness, earliness, morbidity, height, lodging resistance). During harvesting, the harvest of each field is cut separately, yield, quality of the harvest, income per ha are evaluated. After collecting information from the trials comparing the varieties, we can evaluate their strengths and weaknesses and select the best varieties. Their seeds are propagated in reliable Lithuanian farms. We work with 110 farms in Lithuania, we have about 12,000 ha of seed crops every year. The quality of the seeds is controlled both by our specialists and by the State Plantation Service. Before the seeds reach the farmers, their quality is checked four times.
