Seeds are sold by AB "Linas Agro", the main seed markets are Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia. In addition to these countries, seeds are also sold in other EU countries. Seed quality is ensured
Every year we invest and strengthen our seed preparation capacity. in 2019 we updated the line for the preparation of herbal mixtures, which allowed us to improve the quality of the mixtures. in 2020 we have installed a modern spectral cleaner with cameras, which separates by color and cleans seeds of similar size and weight as cleanly as possible.
The factory is equipped with equipment and a management system for technological processes ensures high seed quality. Each shipment of seeds goes through a strict three-level control in the factory's laboratory. Prepared seeds are evaluated by the specialists of the State Plant Breeding Service under the Ministry of Agriculture. Only seeds that meet mandatory quality requirements are issued certificates.
We are constantly investing in production
Currently, we focus on streamlining the logistics chain - from production to delivery to the customer. in 2021 a new seed warehouse was put into operation, which is 89% increased storage areas in Dotnuva. Currently, the seed factory in Dotnuva produces about 27,000 tons of seeds per year, which is about 90 percent. of all our capacities, so in order to ensure a smooth supply of certified seeds to our customers, we need to increase our production capacity.
Therefore, a new seed preparation factory is being built in Latvia (Iecava), which will not only meet the demand for certified seeds in the Latvian and Estonian markets, but will also allow faster access to Latvian farmers and guarantee more efficient logistics of goods to Estonia.
The capacity of the factory will reach 20,000 t of seeds per year with the possibility of increasing them to 30,000 t. The seeds of bell and legume crops will be prepared here. Estimated storage area - 3,000 square meters. m. The seed preparation factory should start work in 2025-2026.
